RENÈ is a Copenhagen-based brand founded in 2022 by Kridipat & Jens Østergaard. The brand focuses on voluminous garments and diversity, redefining traditional silhouettes through a genderless approach.

At RENÈ, the wardrobe is reimagined—voluminous yet controlled, fluid yet structured. Proportions are distorted, creating silhouettes that move effortlessly with the body. Merging utilitarian functionality with upscaled details, the designs elevate wardrobe essentials through craftsmanship, resulting in pieces that feel both thoughtful and spontaneous.

Committed to high-quality garments, RENÈ exclusively works with deadstock fabrics from Japan, Italy, and Denmark. Inspired by Scandinavian restraint and Eastern precision, the brand distills classic tailoring into a an aesthetic that challenges expectations. Oversized volume remains central to RENÈ’s vision, shaping bold and expressive silhouettes that transcend traditional boundaries, adapting seamlessly across different bodies, ages, and gender identities.

Currently, we primarily focus on two Sustainable Development Goals: Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) and Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17).

We support these goals by using CAD software in the design process, which minimizes waste & number of prototypes needed. We also utilize deadstock materials from reputable manufacturers in Italy and Japan to deliver high-quality products.

Also, Our production is socially sustainable. Our styles are produced by reputable tailors in Thailand and family-owned businesses, providing meaningful employment to women facing difficult circumstances. Additionally, we follow a low-batch production model to ensure we do not overproduce.

In this way, we combine a responsible low-batch production process, high-quality textiles, CAD software in the design process, precision in detail, timeless aesthetics, and an inclusive design approach.

We dream of establishing a genderless fashion brand that merges sustainable production practices and craftsmanship from around the world with innovative presentations and a community that fosters unrestricted self-expression and celebrates human diversity.

Fundamentally, a strong fashion brand today must create a space that upholds these values: diversity, creativity, and new technology, while remaining attentive and responsible to our planet.
